      It might, but it might also mean that they have overstock they want to get rid of beforehand.

      Can an unlocked blackberry storm work on the sprint network ? A friend of mine has an unlocked storm but he is with t-moblile.

      Bottomline, while Sprint has promised to open their network to foreign/unlocked devices, they have made no reported progress on such efforts. In other words, you should be able to, but Sprint has yet (if ever) to make good on their promise to enable you to do so.

      The T-Mobile solution works, because the Storm has quad-band GSM in addition to CDMA. As such, it will work with their EDGE network.
