Verizon has now discounted the post-agreement price of its flagship BlackBerry model in the BlackBerry Storm all the way down to $99.99 after $100 instant online rebate.
The device features a 3.3 inch 480×360 HVGA resolution display, tri-mode CDMA 1xEVDO Rev. A, quadband GSM/EDGE and 2100MHz HSDPA radio for international roaming via Vodafone partner networks.
The rest of the featureset includes Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 3.5mm headphone jack, 1GB of internal memory with additional expansion via microSDHC expansion slot, HTML browser, media player with iTunes sync capability and Windows Media DRM support, active noise cancellation, GPS transceiver, microUSB port and a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and video recorder.

Can an unlocked blackberry storm work on the sprint network ? A friend of mine has an unlocked storm but he is with t-moblile.
Bottomline, while Sprint has promised to open their network to foreign/unlocked devices, they have made no reported progress on such efforts. In other words, you should be able to, but Sprint has yet (if ever) to make good on their promise to enable you to do so.
The T-Mobile solution works, because the Storm has quad-band GSM in addition to CDMA. As such, it will work with their EDGE network.
