Boy Genius Report has revealed part of the Sprint April launch roadmap featuring dates for many eagerly anticipated devices. All phones are expected to launch through TeleSales on April 16th and April 20th through the rest of Sprint’s sales channels.
The first device expected to be launched in April will be the recently announced Sierra Wireless 597U EVDO Rev. A USB modem with an internal microSDHC slot, and one touch configuration with compatibility for Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems.
The first phone expected will be the Sanyo Katana LX. The Katana LX will feature an identical featureset to the now discontinued Katana II with a VGA camera and Bluetooth, but will feature a sleeker, redesigned body.
The second and third phones are expected to be the first QChat enabled devices available on Sprint with the Sanyo PRO-200 and PRO-700. The PRO-200 will feature Bluetooth and EVDO Rev. A access, with the PRO-700 adding a rugged bodyshell with M810F certification for dust, shock and vibration.
The last listing on the slide is for the BlackBerry Curve 8330, which will first launch in a Titanium color, then expand to other possible colors. The smart device features a 2 megapixel camera, GPS support, microSD slot, and Bluetooth.
As always, the given dates are subject to change without notice.
