AT&T employees have been confirming the launch of AT&T Mobile TV service powered by MediaFLO on May 4th.
The service will be tiered in three packages, similar to Verizon’s VCAST Mobile TV service with the most inexpensive package starting at $13 a month called AT&T Mobile TV Limited, which includes Fox, CBS, NBC, and NBC News, the caveat being that this package will not be promoted on their website or the store.
Employees will be instructing customers to call customer care to order the package, possibly to avoid customer confusion.
The next package up from Limited will be AT&T Mobile TV Basic, which will be priced at $15 per month and include the aforementioned channels in addition to Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, CNN Mobile, Sony Pictures, and ESPN.
The last package available will be AT&T Mobile TV Plus, which will include all of the aforementioned channels in addition to unlimited MediaNet and Cellular Video access for $30 a month.
The first two handsets designed around the service, the Samsung Access and LG Vu are also expected to launch the same day, barring any last minute delays from AT&T.
