AT&T will launch a new $60 monthly unlimited GoPhone service plan on Monday that will feature unlimited domestic voice calling and international messaging. This follows months of local market testing in select markets across the US to gauge popularity and potential customer base.
The plan will be known as GoPhone Unlimited and is expected to replace the $69.99 Unlimited Talk plan currently available on AT&T GoPhone Pick Your Plan. The new rate plan requires that the account be started under the $.25 Simple Rate pay as you go plan, as it is considered a monthly Feature Pack that must be added on a monthly basis.
Update: As expected, AT&T is treating the plan as a feature pack add-on that must be added every 30 days, otherwise the plan defaults to the $.25/minute rate plan with no daily access fee and requires a running balance that is not expired.
