Today Sprint announced several new service plans during the investor earnings conference call.
The announcement includes two unlimited plans, and two new plans bundled with unlimited messaging. The intention is to simplify the billing process, similar to how long distance and roaming charges have been eliminated in recent years.
As reported previously, Sprint announced an unlimited plan for $99.99 per month dubbed “Simply Everythingâ€.
This plan includes unlimited voice calling to anyone on any network anytime, unlimited messaging, unlimited Direct Connect on either the CDMA or iDEN platform, as well as unlimited access to Sprint TV, Sprint Music, and Sprint Navigation.
The plan can also be used as a family plan, with a $5 discount on each additional line added. ($99.99 for line 1, $94.99 for line 2, $89.99 for line 3 etc. up to five lines). Sprint has also added an unlimited plan at the $89.99 price point that allows for unlimited voice and unlimited messaging.
Sprint also announced two plans that come bundled with unlimited messaging and a simplified data package. Sprint will offer a plan for $49.99 that includes 450 minutes, and a plan for $69.99 that includes 900 minutes.
The simplified data plan will be priced at $20 per month and will include “all featuresâ€. There is no word on what exactly what “all features” include, but it is expected to include all of the data features in the “Simply Everything” plan with all of the above plans available starting tomorrow Friday, February 29th.
